Let’s Be Honest…

Our unfiltered thoughts on the past week in sports…

Rest In Peace Tiaina Baul “Junior” Seau, Jr.  Junior’s family has agreed to allow his brain to be studied.  There may be so much we can learn about mental illness and concussions from his passing. Oh, and ESPN, you can stop showing the clip of his grieving mother any time now.

Let’s Be Honest…

Our unfiltered thoughts on the past week in sports

Andrew Bynum, of the Lakers, recorded a triple-double with a 10 point, 13 rebound, and 10 block performance on Sunday. But does anyone believe he can keep up the intensity on defense?

The Memphis Grizzlies looked to be coasting to a game one blowout victory late Sunday night but the Los Angeles Clippers, led by Nick Young (NICK YOUNG!!), came back from 27 down to win by one.

Let’s Be Honest…

Our unfiltered thoughts on the past week in sports…

Sorry Ron Artest World Peace, we don’t believe you when you say this elbow to James Harden’s head was an accident. Most people would stop after an accident and check on the person they hit, not sprint to the other end of the floor to defend themselves in the upcoming fight.

The Charlotte Bobcats have lost 20 games in a row and are on their way to the worst winning percentage in NBA history.  Their owner, Michael Jordan, was one of the most competitive players in history, how can he sleep at night knowing this is his doing?

Let’s Be Honest…

Our unfiltered thoughts on the past week in sports…

Isn’t it interesting that as soon as it was clear Tiger was out of the running at the Masters the announcers began to elevate Phil while downing Tiger?

Bobby Petrino was in a motorcycle accident while giving a ride to his 25 year old mistress, who’d just been hired in the Arkansas athletic department the week prior.  We’re sure Atlanta Falcons fans are calling this entire incident karma.

Let’s Be Honest…

Our unfiltered thoughts on the past week in sports…

Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis are appealing their suspensions but doesn’t it seem odd that the person that hears the appeals, Roger Goodell, is the man that handed down the suspensions in the first place?

Those with interest in the NFL are anxiously awaiting the unveiling of the new Nike apparel on Tuesday, although Nike has said not to expect drastic changes. That’s just too bad because that Tampa Bay creamsicle and Seattle neon green deserves to be phased out.

5 foot 9 inch James Justice owned the NCAA slam dunk contest.  Why is this SO much better than the pros?

Let’s Be Honest…

Our unfiltered thoughts on the past week in sports…

John Calipari is in the Final Four for the 6th time in 7 years.  Is this Kentucky team going to bring him his first National Championship?

Baylor lost in the Elite 8 after breaking out, as we call here at TSG, the camouflage paintball uniform.  The television is glad they’re out because it struggled to maintain the proper color when they were on the screen.
